We are not unrealistic in our expectations of alternative modes of therapy. They can't replace traditional therapies in most situations, but they do have a place in our practice, either as a sole treatment or adjunct to conventional therapy.

Pet insurance is available for most pets. We would be glad to help you find the plan that would best serve your needs.

BOARDING SERVICES

We offer boarding with separate cat and dog rooms. We check each pet's records to be certain that no illnesses will be transmitted within our kennels. When your pet stays with us, they will be given excellent care!

GERIATRIC CARE

Have you ever been advised that you can't perform a procedure such as tumor removal on an older pet because he won't be able to handle the anesthesia? Well, we use light sedation and epidural or regional anesthesia in many older pets to perform various procedure without using general anesthesia.

OBEDIENCE CLASSES

Behavioral training programs are taught on Thursdays by Laura Wilson DVM who has had years of experience training dogs. For dogs with submission problems such as fear biting; urinating when greeted; aggression problems such as attacking other animals or people; and young or old dogs who don't know commands --- obedience training can work wonders! 

ACQUIRING A NEW PET

We can discuss with you what pet is right for you: breed, age, sex, and disposition. We can also advise you about breeders, rescue groups, animal shelters, etc...

LOST PETS

You can do everything right, but sometimes accidents happen and your pet can get loose. When your pet is lost, it can be a terrifying time. The best thing to do is to prepare for this possibility. Microchips, tags, tag services, Alabama Pet Registry -- these are all fantastic ways to help you recover your pet. Also, carry a current photo of your pet with you when you go on vacation. If your pet runs away when you are on vacation, you will need a picture.
